What makes a good tattoo?
Well though everyone has their own definition of a good tattoo. A good tattoo is a tatto grounded in meaning. People may not understand but it's a great tat because of the meaning and the style.



What is the history of tattoos?
Tattoos can be traced back to tribal days.

How do tattoos effect society?
Tattoos effect society everyday. But in the 50's and 60's tattoos seemed to be more taboo. Now a days tattoos are more excepted because it's more common to see a teenager with a lot of tats. Research question 1

What makes a good tattoo?
 Basically everyone has there own definition of a good tattoo but I believe a good tattoo is one that has a good meaning or story behind it that evokes feelings from who everyone sees the tattoo.

What is the history of tattoos?
Tattoos have been around since neolithic times and still are around today.

How do tattoos effect society?
Everyday someone is getting a tattoo and when people see tattoos they follow the stereotypes and think they're criminals.

Ariana's Workshop

In the world of film there are many different types of choices you can get and last Thursday Ariana Allensworth workshop on cinematography. A B Roll shot is when people are talking about the topic but on the screen it shows a a picture of a corner for example. Ariana had us watch films named Favela on Blast and Bowling for columbian by Michael Moore. In one of the films michael interviews a guy from the national gun association about why guns are good and useful but with some clever word play he made him say the opposite. What I learned from both films is that depending on how and what your shooting  you can change the prospective of the story.

To Be Heard

The movie To Be Heard was a spectacular film. I've watched it twice an each time I take something new from the film. Those three kids were not only talented in poetry but also talented in general. The things they went though made the great poets and stronger people. The bond no family they created with each other made them fueled the passion in there poems and overall the film. These kids overcome the problems of life and the natural problems of being a teen in a bad community. The poetry group they are apart of  probably saved their lives. www.ToBeHeard.org

The Gorilla Massacre

Gorilla Massacre

The video I watched today was truly a sad video. The Gorilla Massacre by Michael Nichols and Brent Stirton  was about the genocide  of the sliver back gorillas in Africa. A coal company in africa needed materials and the jungle the sliver backs were living in is were the is the same jungle the materials were in. the company wanted the materials so that they started killing the sliver backs by burning them shooting  them etc. the local villages felt they had a connection to these animals an tried to protect them from cruel intentions of any other human beings.The music and images used in this video was both moving and scary, its sad to see the lengths people will go to make a quick buck. Images and videos of baby gorillas and there troops are sprinkled throughout the video making a powerful point when you see the amount of dead gorillas. the tribe music symbolizes the powerful connection the tribe has to the gorillas.
